99 and All Is Fine: Happy Birthday to Clara Hieronymus!

Today the great Tennessean theater critic and arts journalist – and longtime American Theatre Critics Association secretary as well as former chair and co-founder – Clara Hieronymus is 99! The following pictures were taken today in Savannah, Tenn.

Clara Hieronymus 2Clara goes every Wednesday to the nursing home adjacent to the Hardin Medical Center in Savannah where Martha plays piano for the residents.

“She directs my playing,” Martha says.

She’s staying active in Savannah.

She regularly visits Nashville with Martha and Bruce Hieronymus.
