Nashville’s beautiful people will be gathered downtown next Tuesday night, as the third-annual Nashville Fashion Week kicks off with a runway show at Pinnacle at Symphony Place. The show will feature two collections from designer Tracy Reese, the biggest name among this year’s crop of local and national designers, as well as collections from Kal Rieman, Red Doll, Nonoo.
Nashville Fashion week takes place April 2-6 and will feature five days of runway shows, a full day of fashion industry panel discussions, various shopping events at retailers across the city, and, of course, after parties and special events. The full schedule of events and locations is available on the NFW website.
Nashville Fashion Week benefits the Nashville Fashion Forward Fund of the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee. Established in 2011, the fund is designed to recognize and award the achievements of a fashion industry professional each year; the grant is intended to aid the winner’s career development. The 2012 recipient, Leona designer Lauren Leonard, will be showcasing her work during Friday’s runway shows.
Nashville Fashion Week was created two years ago to support and celebrate Nashville’s growing fashion industry. By showcasing local designers back to back with regional and national designers, NFW has proven time and again that Nashville is worthy of its reputation as a growing and thriving design community.
